The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Minister Kang
Jung-ai) announced the selection of Hwang Jin-nam (2019 National Medal), Lee Uigyeong (1990 National Medal), and Kim Gap-soo (1993 Order of Merit for National Foundation) as the ‘Independence Activists of July 2024.’ These individuals formed the Association of Korean Students in Germany (留德高麗學友會) and continued diplomatic independence movements from Germany. |
