유엔군 참전의 날을 맞아 대한민국을 지키기 위해 목숨을 걸고 싸우셨던 참전용사 여러분과 가족 분들을 만나 뵙게 되어 정말 기쁘게 생각합니다.
Honorable United Nations Korean War veterans, and family members! It is a pleasure to meet you all in person on the occasion of the UN Forces Participation Day ― you are our heroes who risked own lives to protect the Republic of Korea.
또한, 바쁘신 중에도 자리에 함께 해주신 제임스 최 호주대사님, 후안 카를로스 카이사 로세로 콜롬비아대사님, 슈테판 아우어 독일대사님, 줄리안 클레어 아일랜드대사님, 씽텅 랍피쎗판 태국대사님, 해리 해리스 미국대사님, 로버트 비(B) 에이브람스 유엔군사령관님, 그리고 6·25참전유공자회 박희모 회장님과 유엔한국참전국협회 지갑종 회장님을 비롯한 내외귀빈 여러분께도 깊이 감사드립니다.

When Korea was engulfed in war, Korean War veterans gathered under the flag of the United Nations with one common goal.
전쟁에 대한 두려움도 있었지만, 대한민국의 자유와 평화를 지켜내야 한다는 투철한 사명감을 꺾지는 못했습니다.
They must have feared the war. Yet, it did not dampen their strong sense of duty to participate in the Korean War to safeguard the freedom and peace of the Republic of Korea.
오늘의 대한민국을 있게 해 준 참전용사 분들의 희생과 헌신에 감사드립니다.
I would like to extend my gratitude to UN Korean War veterans, whose sacrifice and contribution enabled Korea to stand where it does today.
내일은 정전협정 체결 66주년이자, 195만 유엔참전용사의 희생과 공헌을 기리기 위한 ‘유엔군 참전의 날’입니다.
Tomorrow is the UN Forces Participation Day, marking the 66th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice Agreement and commemorating the sacrifice and contribution of 1.95 million UN Korean War veterans.
대한민국 정부는 호주 정규군 지휘관으로 참전해 큰 공을 세우고 전장에서 산화하신 고(故) 찰스 허큘리스 그린 중령님의 군인정신을 기리기 위해 이 자리에 계신 손자 분께 무공훈장을 드릴 예정입니다.
The government of the Republic of Korea will confer the Order of Military Merit to the grandsons of the late Lieutenant Colonel Charles Hercules Green in honor of the dauntless valor of their grandfather, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the battlefield after distinguishing himself with extraordinary achievements in the Korean War as the commander of the Regular Army.
또한, 그리스에 한국전쟁 박물관과 기념비를 건립해 그리스 군의 참전 의미를 알리고 계신 콘스탄티노스 파로스 참전용사께는 국민포장을 수여할 예정입니다.
Furthermore, our government will confer the Civil Merit Medal to the Greek Korean War veteran, Constantinos Farros, who has been playing a crucial role in increasing the public's awareness of the Greek army's participation in the Korean War by constructing the Korean War museum and memorial in his country.

The freedom and peace you preserved laid a foundation for Korea's miraculous economic development and democracy the international community marveled at.
지금까지 그러했듯이 앞으로의 대한민국 역사에서도 여러분의 희생과 공헌은 영원히 기억될 것입니다.
Your sacrifice and contribution have remained and will continue to remain engraved in the history of the Republic of Korea.
내년은 한국전쟁이 일어난 지 70주년이 되는 해입니다.
