유엔참전국 대표회의 감사 만찬 환영사
존경하는 참전국 대표단 여러분!
유엔 참전용사 분들의 따뜻한 인류애가 스며있는 이곳 ‘유엔평화기념관’에서 여러분과 만찬을 함께하게 되어 매우 뜻 깊게 생각합니다.
자리를 함께해 주신 <알키비아디스 스테파니스> 그리스 국방부 차관님과 참전국 대사님을 비롯한 외교사절 여러분께 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.
(순차통역) Distinguished guests who represent the UN Sending States! It is my great pleasure to welcome you for this dinner at the UN Memorial Peace Hall where you can feel the love and humanitarianism of UN veterans of the Korean War.
My special thanks go to Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkividis STEFANIS from Greece, the ambassadors, and the diplomatic corps in Korea for gracing this event.
오늘 우리는 6·25참전국 보훈부장관회의를 통해 유엔 참전용사님들의 숭고한 희생정신을 계승하고, 보훈 분야는 물론 대한민국과 국제사회의 평화 환경 구축을 위해 적극 협력할 것을 선언하였습니다.
뜻을 모아주신 여러분께 깊이 감사드리며, 저는 대한민국 국가보훈처장으로서 이번 회의에서 논의된 내용들이 우리 모두에게 괄목할만한 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 성심을 다할 것을 약속드립니다.
참전국 대표단 여러분께서도 지속적인 관심과 협조를 부탁드립니다.
(순차통역) Earlier today in the International Conference of UN Sending States on Veterans' Issues, we committed ourselves to inherit the selfless sacrifice of the UN veterans of the Korean War who practiced their belief in the value of human life and declared that we will work together to establish a peace environment on the Korean Peninsula and beyond the international community.
I want to thank all of you for your active participation and insight, and I promise you I will do my best to implement what we discussed in the conference and make substantial progress from it.
I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your continuous support and kind cooperation.
자리에 함께하신 여러분!
대한민국은 70년 전 유엔의 이름으로 받은 도움을, 이제는 우리의 도움을 필요로 하는 곳이 있으면 어디든 마다하지 않고 달려갈 용의가 있음을 말씀드릴 수 있습니다.
지금도 전 세계 14개국에서 평화유지와 의료지원 임무 등 국제사회의 일원으로서 책무를 다하고 있습니다.
(순차통역) Distinguished guests,
Korea is now able to provide help anywhere in the world anytime, like we were helped by the United Nations seven decades ago.
As I speak, Korea is performing its duty as a fulfilling member of the international community, from peace keeping operations in the 14 countries around the globe to medical mission.
앞으로도 22개 참전국과 참전용사님들께서 보여주셨던 따뜻한 인류애를 잊지 않고 보답하는 대한민국이 되도록 끊임없이 노력하겠다는 말씀을 드립니다.
(순차통역) We will do our best to make this country that never forgets but always remembers and reciprocates the love shown by the 22 Sending States and their veterans.
이번 일정동안 대한민국을 지킨 영웅들을 기억하고, 혈맹으로 맺어진 소중한 인연과 우정을 더욱 굳건하게 하는 시간으로 채워가겠습니다.
(순차통역) In this regard, we will take this occasion to commemorate our heroes who protected the Republic of Korea and reaffirm our precious ties and friendship forged in blood.
아울러 ‘코로나19’가 하루 빨리 종식되어 유엔참전용사님들과 참전국 국민들이 다시 평화로운 일상을 보낼 수 있기를 간절히 소망합니다.
(순차통역) I sincerely wish that COVID-19 is over soon so that all of us here and our UN veterans of the Korean War will enjoy peace again.
